In a significant political development, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has leveled serious allegations against the Congress party, claiming a connection between recent riots in France and protests in India. This assertion follows a report by Fox News, which suggests that various organizations across multiple countries are collaborating to amplify civil unrest. The BJP spokespersons made these claims during a press briefing on Thursday, asserting that the Congress is part of a broader conspiracy aimed at destabilizing democratically elected governments.
The Fox News investigation highlights the existence of 101 organizations operating across 13 nations, allegedly coordinating protests and unrest. BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia emphasized that the report reveals a so-called "red-green ecosystem of protest," where red symbolizes communist groups and green represents Islamic organizations. Bhatia criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, labeling him a "gaddar" (traitor) and accusing him of promoting anarchy in India.
BJP's Pradeep Bhandari also weighed in, citing the report's findings that link the Progressive International, a communist organization, to coordinated messaging between protests in France, Albania, and India. He claimed that the ultimate goal of these protests is to achieve regime change through organized rebellion. Bhandari further alleged that Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi had met with representatives from the Progressive International, suggesting that the Congress party is influenced by foreign anti-democratic forces.
The BJP's accusations come at a time when political tensions are high in India, with various protests occurring across the country. The party's claims, if substantiated, could have significant implications for the Congress party's credibility and its ability to mobilize support among the electorate. The BJP's strategy appears aimed at discrediting the opposition by framing them as part of a larger, potentially treasonous network.
As of now, the Congress party has not publicly responded to these allegations. Political analysts suggest that the lack of immediate reaction may indicate a need for the Congress to carefully consider its response to avoid further damaging its reputation. The unfolding situation could lead to intensified political discourse in the coming days, especially as the BJP continues to press its narrative ahead of upcoming elections.
