Hindustan Coca-Cola Holdings (HCCH), the parent entity of Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, is expected to submit its draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) to the market regulator within this week. This filing is a significant step towards the company's planned initial public offering (IPO), which is projected to take place in 2027.
The IPO is anticipated to be valued at around $1 billion, primarily through a stake sale, with the company seeking a total valuation of approximately $10 billion. Investment banks including Axis Capital and IIFL Capital Services are reportedly part of the syndicate managing the issue. Rothschild & Co has been engaged to provide advisory services for the listing process.
In a notable transaction in July 2025, the Coca-Cola Company facilitated the acquisition of a 40% stake in HCCH by the Jubilant Bhartia Group, while retaining a 60% stake. Sanket Ray, the president of Coca-Cola India and Southwest Asia, expressed confidence in the bottler's growth trajectory under the new partnership, emphasizing the strategic importance of the upcoming listing.
Established in 1997, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages operates 14 bottling plants across ten states in India. The company packages and distributes a variety of beverages, including popular brands like Coca-Cola, Thums Up, Sprite, and Fanta. With a workforce of around 5,000 employees, the firm has built a robust distribution network, serving over 1.7 million customers through more than 2,000 distributors.
Looking ahead, the submission of the DRHP marks a pivotal moment for HCCH as it prepares for its public listing. The company aims to leverage the benefits of being publicly traded to enhance shareholder value and continue its growth in the competitive beverage market in India.
