Madhya Pradesh Attracts ₹90,000 Crore in Investment Proposals

On October 9, 2026, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav of Madhya Pradesh hosted an interactive session in Mumbai focused on the state's investment opportunities. During this event, he emphasized the favorable investment climate and industry-friendly policies that Madhya Pradesh offers. The session included a roundtable with Consuls General and diplomats from various countries, inviting them to participate in the upcoming Global Investors Summit (GIS) 2027 as partner nations.
CM Yadav characterized Mumbai and Maharashtra as a hub for globally capable investors, while positioning Madhya Pradesh as a 'hub of opportunities.' He reported that the state has received investment proposals totaling approximately ₹90,000 crore, which are expected to generate around 14,375 jobs. The CM expressed optimism about the potential for trade and business growth across various sectors in Madhya Pradesh.
Highlighting the state's advantages, Yadav pointed to its robust banking facilities, abundant power supply, competitive electricity rates, skilled workforce, and a crime-free environment as key factors attracting investors. He noted that Madhya Pradesh has successfully established itself as a leading investment destination through over 25 investor-friendly policies.
The Chief Minister also mentioned that more than 30% of the investment proposals from the previous GIS 2025, amounting to around ₹10 lakh crore, have already been implemented. He reiterated the state's commitment to hosting the next Global Investors Summit next year, encouraging investors to engage with Madhya Pradesh's growing market.
During the Mumbai roadshow, one-on-one meetings with numerous investors took place, leading to significant announcements of new investments. Notably, ACME Global plans to invest ₹47,000 crore in renewable energy projects. Other major companies, including the Avada Group, INOX, and Air Products, have also shown interest in expanding their operations in Madhya Pradesh. The CM concluded by stating that these investments would bolster the state's industrial landscape and create new economic opportunities.
