EKA Mobility Launches Six New Manufacturing Plants in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh
EKA Mobility has inaugurated six manufacturing facilities aimed at boosting electric vehicle production in India.

EKA Mobility, in collaboration with Pinnacle Industries Ltd. and its affiliates, has officially inaugurated six manufacturing facilities located in Pune, Maharashtra, and Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh. This strategic expansion is part of the EKA Avirbhava initiative, which aims to enhance the production capabilities for electric small commercial vehicles, buses, and trucks, as well as automotive engineering and EV components.
The newly established facilities will focus on various aspects of electric vehicle production, including battery enclosures, seating systems, and vehicle interiors. With this expansion, EKA Mobility now operates a total of 11 manufacturing sites across 120 acres, significantly increasing its annual production capacity to exceed 40,000 electric vehicles. The group has made substantial investments, exceeding ₹3,500 crore in manufacturing and over ₹600 crore in research and development.
EKA Mobility's order book currently includes more than 11,000 buses valued at approximately US$1.7 billion, reflecting strong demand for electric vehicles. The workforce has also grown, with more than 6,000 employees contributing to the company's ambitious goals. This expansion is expected to support the increasing production of electric buses and various commercial vehicles, reinforcing EKA's position in the EV market.
Sudhir Mehta, the Founder and Chairman of EKA Mobility, emphasized the significance of this milestone, stating that the inauguration of these facilities underscores their commitment to innovation and sustainable mobility. He highlighted that these plants are not just infrastructure but represent a vision for creating world-class manufacturing capabilities and generating meaningful employment opportunities in India.
