TiE Nagpur hosted the TiE U Global Pitch Competition 2026 finals on November 1, 2026, at VNIT Nagpur, featuring a diverse range of student entrepreneurs from the region. The event attracted 87 startup teams from nine educational institutions, marking a significant step in promoting entrepreneurship among students in Nagpur.

The TiE U initiative, a flagship program of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), aims to unite student-led startups through a global competition, engaging TiE chapters across India, Asia, and the United States. The Nagpur chapter's activities commenced in August 2026, with participation from institutions such as VNIT Nagpur, IIIT Nagpur, and several others, fostering a collaborative environment for budding entrepreneurs.

Throughout the competition, TiE Nagpur organized nine Guru Sessions focused on essential business skills, including idea validation, market research, and financial planning. After rigorous evaluations, 35 teams progressed to the semifinals, with 15 finalists selected in two categories: Open Track and Core Track. The judging panel included experienced entrepreneurs and mentors, ensuring a fair assessment of the participants.

In the Open Track, IndiaICU from VNIT Nagpur emerged as the winner, while Orvia from G H Raisoni College of Engineering secured the runner-up position. In the Core Track, Proton Volt, also from VNIT Nagpur, took the top spot, with Saral Labs from Ramdeobaba University following closely as the runner-up. Both winning teams will represent TiE Nagpur at the TiE U Global Semifinals on December 13, 2026, during the TiE Global Summit in Indore, competing for a chance to reach the Global Finals.

The successful execution of the TiE U 2026 competition highlights TiE Nagpur's dedication to nurturing young talent and bridging the gap between academic institutions and the startup ecosystem. With ongoing support from TiE Nagpur's leadership, the winning teams will receive additional mentoring and resources to prepare for their international competition, reinforcing the chapter's mission to elevate student innovators on a global stage.
