The new Glanza model has received positive customer feedback during the festive season.
In October 2026, Toyota Kirloskar Motor reported a total of 30,360 vehicle sales, with domestic sales accounting for 29,521 units and exports contributing 839 units. This marks a significant year-on-year decline of 29.22% from 42,892 units sold in October 2025, although there was a month-on-month increase of 7.59% from September 2026's 28,218 units.
The domestic market saw a notable recovery, with sales rising by 17.96% from September 2026, where only 25,027 units were sold. Despite this increase, the overall decline in export shipments, which fell sharply by 68.16% year-on-year, limited the growth in combined sales. Exports dropped to 839 units from 2,635 units in October 2025, and also decreased from 3,191 units in September 2026.
From January to October 2026, Toyota's cumulative sales reached 325,274 units, reflecting a growth of 3.03% compared to 315,716 units during the same period last year. Domestic sales rose to 299,140 units, an increase of 4.11%, while cumulative exports fell by 7.91%, indicating that domestic performance was crucial in offsetting the decline in international shipments.
The company noted that customer interest remained strong during the festive season, particularly for the newly launched Glanza model, which has been well-received for its design and features. Toyota's focus on enhancing customer experience and product offerings has been pivotal as market conditions evolve.
Looking ahead, Toyota is set to launch the updated Innova Hycross on the 26th of this month, which is anticipated to further boost sales. The company aims to leverage the positive response to its new models to regain market momentum in the coming months.
