Hitesh Oberoi to Depart as Info Edge CEO After 27 Years

In a significant leadership change, Info Edge, the parent company of Naukri.com, announced on October 28 that Hitesh Oberoi will resign from his role as managing director and CEO after nearly 27 years. His departure is set for the end of business on December 2, 2026, after which he will assume a position as a non-executive director on the board, pending shareholder approval.

Sanjeev Bikhchandani, co-founder of Info Edge, will step into the role of executive vice chairman, managing director, and group CEO starting December 3, 2026. His appointment is expected to last until April 26, 2031, aligning with his current term as a director, also subject to shareholder approval. This transition marks a pivotal moment for the company as it continues to expand its portfolio of internet businesses, including recruitment, real estate, matrimony, and education.
