Apple Inc. has reported a remarkable revenue of $114.5 billion for the fiscal fourth quarter ending in September 2023, marking a 12% increase compared to the same period last year. The company's gross margin stood at 47.9%, with earnings per share rising to $2.10, a 14% growth year-over-year. This surge in revenue was partly attributed to tariff refunds, which added $0.05 per share to earnings and improved the gross margin by one percentage point.

For the fiscal year 2026, Apple achieved a record revenue of $479 billion, showcasing double-digit growth in earnings per share. The iPhone continues to be a cornerstone of Apple's business, generating $57.6 billion in revenue during the September quarter, up from $49 billion in the same quarter last year. Cumulatively, iPhone sales for the entire year reached $254.1 billion, compared to $209.6 billion the previous year.

CEO John Ternus highlighted that the services sector also reached a historical peak, generating $31.6 billion in revenue for the quarter, an increase from $28.8 billion in the same timeframe last year. The total revenue from services for the fiscal year amounted to $123.3 billion, up from $109.2 billion in the prior year. Additionally, Mac sales surged to $10.8 billion for the September quarter, overtaking the wearables category, which saw a decline in revenue.

Apple's product launches last month included new MacBook models, an OLED iPad mini, and a range of smart home devices, including a new smart display and updated Apple TV. The iPhone Duo, considered a significant release, began shipping in late October. The impact of these new products on future financial results remains to be seen.

The Americas continue to be Apple's largest market, with net sales of $48.7 billion for the quarter, followed by Europe at $32 billion and Greater China at $17.5 billion. Ternus expressed pride in the company's performance, stating, "We’re closing the year with our most ambitious lineup yet," emphasizing the transformative nature of the new iPhone models and the introduction of Touch technology to Mac for the first time, setting the stage for a strong holiday season.
