India's primary market is gearing up for a significant influx of initial public offerings (IPOs), with 11 companies set to raise a total of ₹7,055 crore between September 7 and September 15. Key players in this round include Rentomojo, Karamtara Engineering, and Kanohar Electricals, with most IPOs launching on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.
This surge in IPO activity signals a strong interest in early-stage growth equity, especially as these companies are valued below USD 1 billion at the time of listing. Rajkumar Rathi, Chief Investment Officer at YES Securities, noted that this trend reflects robust corporate confidence and abundant liquidity in the Indian market. The companies involved span various sectors, including real estate, engineering, specialty chemicals, and online rental services.
Out of the total ₹7,055 crore expected from these IPOs, ₹2,722 crore (39%) will be raised through primary capital issuance, directly benefiting the companies. The remaining ₹4,333 crore (61%) will come from secondary sales by existing shareholders. The proceeds from these offerings are earmarked for business expansion, capital expenditures, debt repayment, and general corporate purposes.
This upcoming wave follows an already active start to September, with Rays of Belief and Deepa Jewellers having launched their IPOs on September 1. With these new offerings, the total number of IPOs in 2026 is projected to reach 75, including 23 from August alone. Pranav Constructions will be the first to open for public subscription on September 7, with its issue valued at over ₹351 crore, closing on September 9.
Following Pranav Constructions, Kanohar Electricals, Prasol Chemicals, and Glass Wall Systems (India) will launch their IPOs on September 8. The remaining companies, including Rentomojo and Karamtara Engineering, will open their subscriptions on September 9, with Veegaland Developers set to follow on September 10. Each company has established specific price bands for their shares, indicating a well-structured approach to this significant fundraising effort.
