The Trinamool Congress, led by Mamata Banerjee, has approached the Calcutta High Court to contest the alleged illegal removal of a billboard from their party office located on Camac Street, Kolkata. Civic authorities claimed that the billboard was unauthorized, prompting its removal. During the incident, authorities reportedly faced resistance from party workers, necessitating police intervention and resulting in a stand-off at the site.

The plea was presented before Justice Raja Basu Chowdhury, who permitted its listing but did not grant immediate relief. Senior Advocate Kishore Datta, representing the TMC, informed the court that authorities attempted to forcibly enter the party office around 4:45 PM on Thursday, leading to the billboard's removal. Although the court noted that the billboard had already been taken down, it allowed the petition to proceed for a hearing.
