Lucknow Police have offered a reward for information on Dubey and others involved.
Shiva Sharma's death is under investigation following conflicting claims from his family.
In a recent video statement, model and social media influencer Shraddha Dubey has publicly denied any involvement in the death of 28-year-old restaurant owner Shiva Sharma, asserting that his demise was a suicide rather than a murder. The video surfaced a day after Dubey was named the primary suspect in the case, prompting her to call for an end to media speculation linking her to political figures and officials.
Dubey's video, lasting just over a minute, comes as the Lucknow Police ramp up their search for her and others connected to the case. Authorities have announced a reward of ₹25,000 for information leading to the arrest of Dubey, her sister Rashmi Dubey, and Tanveer Ali, also known as Danish. Dubey expressed her frustration over the rumors circulating about her and emphasized that social media connections do not imply personal relationships.
In her statement, Dubey claimed she is not evading law enforcement and is eager to share her side of the story with investigators. "I want to come before the police and tell them everything I know. I want to place the complete truth before them," she stated. Furthermore, she reiterated her belief that Sharma's death was not due to foul play, but rather a tragic suicide, although she noted her current inability to provide detailed explanations due to health concerns.
Shiva Sharma tragically fell from the fourth floor of the Awadh Green Apartment in Hazratganj on October 9. Reports indicate that he had been in a relationship with Dubey for approximately four months prior to his death. Following this incident, Sharma's mother filed a police report accusing Dubey and others of murder, alleging that Dubey had pushed her son from the building, a claim that investigators are currently looking into.
As the investigation unfolds, all individuals named in the FIR remain untraceable. In a significant development, an SUV believed to be associated with Dubey was discovered abandoned near the India-Nepal border in Bahraich district, raising further questions about the case and the whereabouts of those involved.
