Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi commemorated a significant milestone, marking 25 years since he first took office as the Chief Minister of Gujarat on October 7, 2001. During a celebratory event called the 'Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha,' organized by the BJP as part of the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan,' Modi reflected on his journey and the lessons learned throughout his tenure. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Indian populace, the BJP, and his political colleagues, acknowledging their unwavering faith in democracy.
In his address, Modi emphasized the importance of service, stating, "Seva hi dharm hai" (Service is duty). He shared nostalgic memories from his school days in Vadnagar, recalling his eagerness to learn and how it has shaped his lifelong commitment to education. Modi described himself as a perpetual student, continually striving to acquire new knowledge and experiences.
The Prime Minister articulated his appreciation for both supporters and critics, noting that every individual and experience has contributed to his growth. He stated, "Those who taught me taught me humility," highlighting how challenges have strengthened his resolve.
