Fire Destroys 35-40 Shops at Shiv Market Near Jammu Station

In the early hours of Monday, a major fire broke out at Shiv Market, located opposite Jammu Railway Station, resulting in the destruction of approximately 35 to 40 shops. Fortunately, there have been no reports of casualties or injuries as emergency services worked diligently to control the blaze.

The fire is believed to have originated from a short circuit in one of the shops, quickly spreading to nearby establishments. BJP MLA Vikram Randhawa provided insight into the incident, stating that the flames consumed the entire market before the fire brigade could respond effectively. He emphasized the rapid escalation of the fire, which left significant damage in its wake.

Randhawa noted that the firefighting efforts were complicated by the fire's intensity, which had engulfed the market entirely by the time control measures were initiated.
