On October 28, 2026, the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) publicly declared its support for the INDIA bloc's rally scheduled for November 1. This rally aims to address concerns regarding irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, with the CJP calling for the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
The CJP's statement highlighted significant worries about the potential exclusion of eligible voters from the electoral process. They stressed that the Election Commission of India has a crucial role in protecting the voting rights of every citizen, ensuring that democracy is upheld through equal representation.
In their communication, the CJP invoked constitutional principles and the legacy of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, asserting that the essence of democracy lies in allowing citizens to choose their government rather than the government selecting its voters. They criticized the SIR process for eroding public trust in the electoral system.
CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke voiced the party's position on social media, stating, "Gyanu must go! The Cockroach Janta Party extends its support to the INDIA Bloc’s November 1 rally. Nation above all!" This statement reflects the party's commitment to advocating for free and fair elections across India.
As the INDIA bloc prepares for its rally at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan, the CJP's endorsement underscores the growing opposition to perceived electoral malpractices and the demand for transparency in the voter-list revision process. The CJP has pledged to stand with all organizations striving for electoral integrity in the country.
