Bengaluru Family Tragedy: Seven Killed in Domestic Dispute
A shocking incident in Bengaluru sees a man accused of murdering seven family members, including his wife and children.
Indushekar is accused of killing his wife, mother-in-law, and five other relatives.
The murders are believed to stem from ongoing domestic disputes.
Police are investigating the disposal of the victims' bodies across various locations.
In a harrowing incident in Bengaluru's Srirampura, seven family members were allegedly murdered, with police attributing the tragedy to a long-standing domestic conflict. The accused, identified as Indushekar, reportedly killed his wife, Sunita, along with six of her relatives, including her mother and brothers.
The victims include Sunita's mother, Roopavati, her two brothers, Shivakumar and Shankar, both of whom had wives named Divya, and Shankar's son, Puneeth. Authorities have confirmed the recovery of Puneeth's body, while the other victims' remains are believed to have been discarded at various sites throughout Bengaluru and nearby Chikkaballapur.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the couple had been married for approximately 20 years, during which they frequently quarreled, particularly over Sunita's visits to her parental home. Family attempts to mediate their disputes were unsuccessful, and it is suspected that Indushekar's resentment towards the support Sunita received from her family may have motivated the killings.
The tragic events unfolded in a residential area on 59th Cross, near Basroom Circle, under the jurisdiction of the Rajajinagar police station. Reports indicate that Indushekar allegedly used a grinding stone to bludgeon the victims to death inside their home before disposing of their bodies in different locations.
In a disturbing twist, Sunita had previously filed a missing persons report with the police regarding her family members before she was murdered herself. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the murders and are working to recover the remaining bodies.
