Successfully chasing a target of 112 runs, Maharashtra completed the task in just 19.4 overs, showcasing their batting prowess and securing the top position in the group standings.
The match saw Maharashtra earning seven points, including a bonus point, which elevated them to 19 points overall, pushing Bengal down to second place with 18 points. This victory not only reflects Maharashtra's strong performance but also highlights Bengal's struggle to maintain their earlier lead in the group.
Maharashtra's captain, Prithvi Shaw, played a pivotal role in the chase, scoring an unbeaten 53 runs off 50 balls, while Sachin Dhas contributed significantly with a not-out score of 61 from 68 deliveries. Their partnership ensured a smooth run chase, with Maharashtra finishing at 114 without losing any wickets. This match marked Shaw's second fifty of the season, indicating a positive turnaround in his form after a series of low scores.
Bengal's batting lineup faltered in their second innings, collapsing to 186 all out after a promising start. Abhishek Porel and Sumanta Gupta were the only significant contributors, scoring 65 and 59 runs respectively. Their efforts, however, were not enough to avert defeat as the team lost their last six wickets for just 110 runs. Maharashtra's bowlers, particularly Pradeep Dadhe and Hitesh Walunj, were instrumental in dismantling Bengal's batting order, each taking four wickets.

With their next match approaching, they will aim to build on this momentum and further solidify their position in the tournament. Meanwhile, Bengal will need to regroup and address their batting inconsistencies to reclaim their standing in Group C.
