The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has officially commenced the supplementary examinations for HSC and SSC in 2026. This year, more than 1.53 lakh students are participating in these exams, which are crucial for those who did not achieve satisfactory results in the main examinations. The SSC exams are scheduled to conclude on June 30, while the HSC exams will wrap up by July 8.
The supplementary exams are being conducted across nine divisional offices located in Pune, Nagpur, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Amravati, Nashik, Latur, and Konkan. This arrangement allows for a streamlined process to accommodate the large number of students retaking their exams. The results of these supplementary exams are expected to be announced in July, providing students with a chance to improve their academic standings.
Examinations are being held in two shifts each day: the morning session runs from 11 AM to 2 PM, and the afternoon session is from 3 PM to 6 PM. School authorities have already distributed the supplementary admit cards, which are essential for students to gain entry into the examination centers. Students are reminded that digital copies of admit cards will not be accepted, and they must present a hard copy signed by their principal.
To ensure a smooth examination process, the Maharashtra State Board has outlined several important guidelines for students. They are advised to arrive at the exam center at least 30 minutes prior to the start time and to bring their school ID along with the printed admit card. Electronic devices are strictly prohibited inside the examination venues, and students are allowed 10 minutes to read the question paper before the exam begins. Additionally, students should carry necessary stationery items such as pens, pencils, and geometry boxes.
Looking ahead, students are encouraged to stay informed about their results and any further announcements from the Maharashtra State Board. The supplementary exams represent a critical opportunity for students to enhance their academic performance, and timely communication regarding results will be essential for their future educational endeavors.
