On October 7, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis recognized Prime Minister Narendra Modi's significant contributions to India's economy during a press conference. This event coincided with Modi's 25-year milestone in public service, which began when he took office as Gujarat's Chief Minister in 2001. Fadnavis expressed his congratulations to Modi, noting the remarkable transformation of India's economic status under his leadership.
Fadnavis remarked on the economic advancements achieved during Modi's tenure, stating that India has transitioned from being classified as one of the 'Fragile Five' economies to now ranking among the world's top five. He attributed this progress to Modi's dedicated leadership over the past 12 years, which he believes has lifted approximately 250 million people out of poverty.
During the Seva Jyoti Yatra, part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, Fadnavis reiterated the commitment of Maharashtra to align with Modi's vision of a 'Viksit Bharat' (Developed India) by the year 2047. He emphasized the resolve to fulfill this dream and the ongoing efforts to make it a reality through continuous initiatives.
Prime Minister Modi, in his own reflections during a ceremony at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, expressed deep gratitude for the experiences and individuals that have shaped his journey. He acknowledged the lessons learned from both supporters and critics, highlighting the importance of humility and resilience in his leadership.
