The road connecting Waranga village to the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) is in a dire state, raising significant concerns among commuters and local residents. The deteriorating conditions have prompted calls for urgent repairs to ensure safe passage for students and other travelers.
A formal complaint was submitted by the Waranga Gat Gram Panchayat to the Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department (PWD) in Nagpur, highlighting the presence of large and deep potholes along the road. These obstructions have made it challenging for buses and other vehicles to navigate the route smoothly. Although bus services between Waranga and IIIT have started, the poor condition of the road has led to considerable difficulties for passengers.
The situation worsens during the monsoon season when rainwater accumulates in the potholes, creating hazardous travel conditions. The representation to the PWD emphasized that the damaged road not only inconveniences daily commuters, including students cycling to their educational institutions, but also poses a serious risk of accidents, potentially endangering lives.
Local residents, particularly those commuting to Butibori for work, have expressed their frustration over the road's condition. The Waranga Gat Gram Panchayat's appeal to the PWD underscores the urgency of the situation, urging immediate action to repair the road, fill the potholes, and reinforce the surface to facilitate safe and efficient traffic flow.
As the demand for repairs grows louder, the PWD is under pressure to respond swiftly to the community's needs. The timely restoration of the road is crucial not only for the safety of commuters but also for the overall well-being of Waranga's residents, who rely on this route for their daily activities.
