On November 2, Mumbai Police's South Region Cyber Police apprehended three men in Nagpur, including the alleged mastermind behind a share trading investment fraud scheme. This operation has revealed connections to a staggering 73 cybercrime cases across India, with six of those incidents occurring in Mumbai.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Amit Diliprao Kale, Ritik Shailesh Dhargave, and Aniruddha Satish Uke. Authorities reported that the trio allegedly created a fraudulent company named Grain Garden Delight Pvt Ltd, utilizing its bank account to facilitate the receipt and transfer of funds obtained through cyber fraud activities.

The investigation initiated when police traced ₹24.75 lakh linked to a share trading fraud case to a current account associated with the bogus company at the Central Bank of India's Jaripatka branch in Nagpur. Following a thorough technical analysis and information from the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (NCCRP), police set up a trap in Jaripatka, leading to the arrest of Dhargave, who was identified as a director of the fraudulent company.

Further inquiries disclosed that Kale, the alleged mastermind, and Uke played pivotal roles in establishing the shell company, employing forged rental agreements and other falsified documents to open the bank account. Police revealed that Kale used a SIM card registered in Dhargave's name, which was linked to the company’s bank account, to conduct fraudulent transactions and coordinate with other members of a widespread cybercrime network.

During the operation, law enforcement seized an array of items, including 11 cheque books, 25 SIM cards, and various documents related to the fraudulent enterprises. The analysis of the seized digital evidence and bank accounts has confirmed the suspects' involvement in 73 cybercrime complaints across the country. The investigation was led by Senior Police Inspector Nandkumar Gopale, alongside his team, including Inspector Bagwan and Assistant Police Inspector Ramdas Gopal.
