Residents in Nagpur are set to experience scheduled power outages today as the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) conducts necessary maintenance on the electrical network. The outages are expected to last between two to four hours, impacting various neighborhoods throughout the city.
The maintenance work is crucial for ensuring the reliability of the power supply and includes activities such as tree trimming, transformer maintenance, and repairs to overhead wires and underground lines. In the Mahal Division, specific maintenance tasks will take place in Deshpande Layout, where the power supply will be interrupted from 8 AM to 11 AM in areas like Hiwari Nagar, Trimurti Nagar, Prajapati Nagar, and Shailesh Nagar.
In addition, residents of Dighori, Senapati Nagar, Ramkrishna Nagar, Govind Prabhu Nagar, and Shiv Sundar Nagar will experience a power cut from 9 AM to 11 AM. Meanwhile, the Congress Nagar Division will see tree trimming and repairs to high-tension underground lines, with Kachipura facing a power shutdown from 8 AM to 10 AM.
Other neighborhoods, including Shradhanandpeth and Gokulpeth, will also encounter outages at varying times, with Shradhanandpeth experiencing cuts from 7:30 AM to 11 AM and Gokulpeth from 7 AM to 11 AM. MSEDCL has urged residents and businesses in these areas to prepare for the outages by completing any essential electrical work beforehand.
The power supply is anticipated to resume once the maintenance and repair tasks are completed, restoring normal service to the affected areas. Residents are advised to stay updated on the progress of the work and any changes to the schedule.
