Ongoing monitoring requested by locals.
In response to complaints highlighted by The Times of India, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) dispatched a team to Sonegaon on Thursday to address the ongoing pig menace in the HB Estate area. Officials issued warnings to two suspected pig breeders but did not remove any pigs from the streets, prompting residents to call for more decisive action.
Residents expressed their frustration over the situation, noting that the presence of pigs and piglets in their neighborhood is concerning. Despite the NMC's initial visit and warnings, locals are urging the corporation to ensure the pigs are removed and to implement continuous monitoring to prevent the issue from recurring. Many feel that the current measures are insufficient for a well-maintained locality like theirs.
