A special train service connecting Hyderabad and Delhi is proposed to commence on 30 October, pending approval.
The train will operate from Charlapalli to Nizamuddin with multiple stops.
Scheduled departures include 30 October from Hyderabad and 1 November from Delhi.
Approval from the Railway Board is still awaited for the proposed service.
South Central Railway has put forward a proposal for a festival special train service connecting Charlapalli in Hyderabad to Hazrat Nizamuddin in Delhi, set to begin on 30 October 2026. This initiative follows a request from Rajya Sabha MP M. Anil Kumar Yadav, aimed at facilitating travel during the festive season. However, the proposal is still pending approval from the Railway Board, which is crucial for the service to commence.
The proposed train service will make one trip in each direction. Departing from Charlapalli on Friday, 30 October at 22:00, it is expected to arrive at Nizamuddin on Sunday, 1 November at 05:30. The return journey from Nizamuddin is scheduled for Sunday, 1 November at 22:10, reaching Charlapalli by Tuesday, 3 November at 06:30. The train will consist of 24 ICF coaches and will stop at key stations including Balharshah, Nagpur, Itarsi, and Bina.
The detailed schedule outlines specific timings for each stop. For the outbound journey, the train will arrive at Balharshah at 04:45, Nagpur at 08:50, Itarsi at 14:10, and Bina at 20:30 before reaching its final destination. Conversely, the return trip will see the train departing from Nizamuddin at 22:10, with stops at Bina, Itarsi, Nagpur, and Balharshah before arriving back in Charlapalli.
This proposed train service is expected to significantly benefit travelers from the Hyderabad region, especially during the festive period, providing a convenient and direct route to the national capital. The inclusion of multiple stops allows for greater accessibility for passengers traveling from various locations along the route.
As the proposal awaits the Railway Board's approval, South Central Railway has reached out to other railway zones to confirm the timings and logistics. Should there be any issues with the proposed path or terminal, alternative arrangements are being considered. Updates regarding the approval and further developments will be provided as they become available.
