Deoli Man Killed in Stabbing Incident Following Dispute

In a tragic incident in Deoli city, a 42-year-old man named Gajanan Kishor Patankar was fatally stabbed early Monday morning around 1 AM. The attack occurred in the Indiranagar area following a minor disagreement that escalated into violence.
The dispute reportedly began at Mohit Dhaba, where Patankar and the accused had a brief argument over smoking a cigarette. Following this confrontation, the accused allegedly plotted to retaliate. While Patankar was dropping off a friend, the suspects intercepted his vehicle, restrained him, and launched a brutal attack, resulting in critical injuries that led to his death.
Deoli police responded swiftly to the scene, apprehending four primary suspects: Aman Santosh Tekam, Om Ramesh Savarkar, Pranay Dnyaneshwar Rathod, and Manoj Dnyaneshwar Rathod, within an hour of the incident. Additionally, one juvenile was taken into custody. A forensic team was summoned to gather evidence from the crime scene as part of the ongoing investigation.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of SP Saurabh Kumar Agrawal, along with additional SPs Sadashiv Waghmare and Pramod Makeshwar, and sub-divisional police officer Vandana Karkhele. The police team, led by SHO Sandeep Kapade, included sub-inspectors Shivraj Jadhav and Kamlesh Magre, among others, who played a crucial role in the investigation.
A case has been filed at the Deoli police station under Crime No. 825/2026, with relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita invoked. Authorities are continuing their investigation to uncover further details surrounding this violent incident.
