In a significant move for the Raymond Group, Chairman and Managing Director Gautam Singhania has announced the introduction of 'Raymond 3.0', a strategic initiative that includes the hiring of 22 senior executives. This management overhaul aims to align the company with its future growth objectives. Singhania emphasized that this new team is fully integrated into the company's growth strategy, marking a pivotal shift in leadership.
During an exclusive interview at the NDTV World Summit 2026 on October 22, Singhania detailed the rationale behind this transformation. He stated, "It's a fully new team, fully aligned with full growth strategy in place," highlighting the importance of having experienced professionals at all levels of the organization. This restructuring is part of a broader vision to steer the company towards its long-term goals.
Singhania also addressed the topic of succession planning, revealing that he has successfully navigated family-related issues over the past 25 years. As the principal shareholder, he has made independent decisions to ensure the organization's stability, which he believes is crucial for the welfare of the 50,000 families dependent on the company. He remarked, "I've lost a lot of my family to protect this organization," underscoring the personal sacrifices made for the business's longevity.
Looking ahead, Singhania expressed optimism regarding consumer demand during the upcoming festive season, despite ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. He noted that India remains a robust consumption market, although rising crude oil prices and input costs pose challenges. The company generates approximately 85% of its revenue from domestic sales, with exports making up the remaining 15%. Singhania is particularly optimistic about the aerospace and defense sectors, considering potential demergers in the future but has not specified a timeline.
As Raymond Group embarks on this new chapter, the focus will be on leveraging the expertise of the newly appointed executives to navigate market challenges and capitalize on growth opportunities. The successful implementation of the 'Raymond 3.0' strategy will be crucial in determining the company's trajectory in the coming years.
