Net profit surged 66% to ₹5,311 crore compared to FY25.
Apple's growth contrasts with a decline in Samsung's smartphone revenue.
Apple India has marked a significant milestone by surpassing ₹1 lakh crore in revenue for the fiscal year ending March 2026. The company reported a revenue of ₹1,03,853 crore, reflecting a robust 31% increase from ₹79,060 crore in FY25. This growth comes amid a broader market slowdown, indicating a sustained demand for Apple's products, particularly its iPhones.
The impressive performance is underscored by a notable rise in net profit, which soared 66% to ₹5,311 crore in FY26, up from ₹3,196 crore the previous year. This profit surge is particularly striking as it follows a more modest 16% growth in FY25. The figures were derived from company filings with the Registrar of Companies, accessed via the business intelligence platform AltInfo.
Market analysis reveals that the smartphone sector in India grew by 2% in volume and 9% in value during FY26. Notably, smartphones priced above ₹30,000 saw the most significant growth, with volumes increasing by 12%. Apple's own volume growth more than doubled, reaching 24% in FY26, compared to 11% in the prior year. Shubham Singh, a research analyst at Counterpoint Technology Market Research, attributes this growth to a shift towards premium smartphones and the increasing accessibility of iPhones due to wider retail reach and financing options.
Despite the competitive landscape, where Samsung reported a slight decline in smartphone revenue to ₹81,472 crore, Apple has managed to carve out a substantial market share. Samsung's overall revenue for FY26 was ₹1.12 lakh crore, but this includes various product categories beyond smartphones. In contrast, Apple's reported figures do not encompass the full extent of iPhone production and exports from India, which are managed by contract manufacturers and recorded through different overseas entities.
Looking ahead, Apple India's continued growth will likely hinge on its ability to maintain demand for its premium products amidst intensifying competition. The company has yet to disclose specific strategies for sustaining this momentum, and further insights may emerge in future financial disclosures or market analyses.
