Property Dispute Surfaces in Noida Family Tragedy Involving Five Deaths
A family dispute over property is now a focal point in the mysterious deaths of a couple and their three children in Noida.
Five family members found dead in Noida, initially suspected to be food poisoning.
Relatives allege a property dispute involving the deceased man's mother led to the tragedy.
Investigations continue as the cause of death remains undetermined.
In a tragic incident in Noida, a couple and their three children were discovered dead in their home in Nagla Shri Padam village on Saturday morning. The deceased have been identified as Mahesh (37), his wife Lalita (35), and their three children, aged 11, 7, and 3. Initial suspicions pointed towards food poisoning; however, the investigation has shifted focus to a potential family property dispute that may have contributed to the deaths.
The family dispute has emerged as a significant allegation, with relatives claiming that Mahesh's mother, Chandravati, had transferred family properties to her daughters, leaving Mahesh and his family in distress. Pooja, Lalita's sister, accused Chandravati and her daughters of orchestrating the deaths over this dispute, stating, "This is not food poisoning; it is murder." Despite these claims, no evidence has yet substantiated the allegations, and the exact cause of death remains unclear.
The alarming discovery of the family's bodies occurred when a neighborhood child went to call Mahesh's children for school and found them unresponsive. The scene revealed that Mahesh and one child were on a cot, while Lalita and the other two children were on a bed, with one child found clinging to Lalita. Although no visible injuries were present, all victims were found frothing at the mouth, raising questions about the circumstances surrounding their deaths.
Relatives have voiced concerns about ongoing property disputes within the family, alleging that Chandravati had threatened Mahesh's family regarding their living situation. They claim that arguments over property were frequent, and Mahesh's brother, Rahul, had previously died by suicide, reportedly due to similar distress over property issues. In 2009, the family received a compensation of Rs 1.25 crore from the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority, which relatives allege was misappropriated by Chandravati in favor of her daughters.
As investigations continue, the implications of this tragedy extend beyond the immediate family, raising concerns about familial relationships and the impact of property disputes on mental health. Authorities are working to determine the cause of death, and further developments are anticipated as the investigation unfolds. The community remains in shock as they await clarity on this disturbing case.
