In a significant development, police in Lucknow are on the hunt for Shraddha Dubey, a fashion model and social media influencer, along with four other suspects linked to the suspected murder of 27-year-old cafe owner Shiva Sharma. Sharma tragically fell from the fourth floor of the Awadh Green Apartment on October 9, prompting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
Initially perceived as an accidental fall, the case took a serious turn when Sharma's family filed a complaint alleging that he had been assaulted and tortured prior to his death. This led the police to initiate a murder investigation, resulting in charges against Dubey, her sister, their driver, and two additional individuals. An officer from Central Lucknow confirmed that efforts are underway to apprehend the absconding suspects.
The police have announced a reward of Rs 25,000 for information leading to the capture of Dubey, her sister, and the driver. To facilitate the investigation, six teams have been established to track down the accused. The allegations against Dubey include claims from Sharma's mother, Ranjana Sharma, who stated that her son had been held captive, brutally assaulted, and ultimately thrown from the building. She reported that his body exhibited multiple injuries, including fractures and burn marks.
The Sharma family has accused Dubey of harassing their son for several months, alleging that she threatened to frame him in false cases. They recounted an incident where Dubey allegedly visited their shop a week before Sharma's death, demanding that they surrender him to her. The police are currently investigating these claims and the overall circumstances surrounding the incident.
Shraddha Dubey, known for her work in fashion blogging and modeling, has a master's degree and a postgraduate diploma in Computer Applications. She began her career in Hyderabad before moving to Lucknow, where she gained a substantial following on social media, with her Instagram account boasting approximately 141,000 followers. A music video featuring her released in February 2019 has also attracted significant attention, accumulating around 278,000 views on YouTube.
