Prime Minister Narendra Modi has landed in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, for a significant two-nation visit that includes bilateral meetings and participation in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit. Upon arrival, he was warmly welcomed by Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who Modi thanked on social media for the special gesture.
During his visit, Modi aims to enhance India's strategic partnerships in Central Asia, emphasizing cooperation in trade, investments, and defense. Following his stay in Uzbekistan, he will travel to Kyrgyzstan to attend the SCO Summit, where he is expected to meet with various leaders, including Russian President Vladimir Putin, to discuss regional security and collaboration.
