A tragic incident unfolded in Faridabad, Haryana, where a man named Paramjeet Dhankar was shot dead by his neighbor following a parking dispute. The shooting occurred on the night of Dhanteras, with reports indicating that the assailant fired between 15 to 16 rounds from a licensed pistol. Paramjeet, who had just returned from Singapore to attend his nephew's wedding, sustained multiple gunshot wounds and succumbed to his injuries.

The confrontation took place in Sector 21C, only two days prior to the Diwali festivities. According to police reports, the argument erupted over parking a vehicle, escalating quickly into violence. Mohan alias Monu Sharma, the accused, reportedly fired at Paramjeet after their dispute intensified. Following the shooting, Mohan fled the scene with his family, prompting an immediate search by local police.

Paramjeet Dhankar, who lived on the first floor of house number 641 with his wife and children, had been in Singapore for work commitments. He returned to India just two days before the tragic event, eager to participate in family celebrations. Witnesses noted that he had just returned from the gym when the altercation began with Mohan, who resided on the third floor of the same building.

The police revealed that the two families had a history of conflicts, with a notable incident occurring five days prior to the shooting, where Mohan had verbally abused Paramjeet's son over a disagreement involving a dog. After the shooting, law enforcement officials, including the Crime Branch and forensic teams, arrived at the scene to collect evidence, including empty cartridge cases.

As the investigation continues, Paramjeet's body is set to undergo a post-mortem examination at ESIC Medical College. Authorities are actively pursuing leads to locate Mohan Sharma, who remains at large, raising concerns about safety and community relations in the area.
