Protests are planned against his event.
A prominent billboard featuring Mohan Bhagwat, the chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), was unveiled at Times Square in New York on Friday. This display comes just ahead of his scheduled address at Madison Square Garden for the 'Universal Oneness Celebrations' event.
Bhagwat is currently on a three-country outreach tour, which includes stops in Canada and the UK, marking the RSS's centenary year. The Madison Square Garden event, organized by American Hindus for Engagement and Dialogue, aims to celebrate unity among diverse communities and will feature various cultural performances. However, the event has sparked protests from several groups opposing Bhagwat's views, with New York's mayor also expressing concerns about the RSS's ideology.
