Kanpur Man Receives 55 Stitches After Sister-in-Law Attack

In a shocking incident in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, a 37-year-old man named Rajneesh suffered severe injuries after his sister-in-law, Gayatri, allegedly bit his genitals during a family altercation. The altercation erupted following a dispute involving Gayatri's son, who was reportedly beaten by Rajneesh during an argument on Friday.

The conflict began when Gayatri's son visited his aunt Suman, Rajneesh's wife. After the boy informed his mother about the incident, Gayatri confronted Rajneesh, leading to a heated exchange that escalated into physical violence. Eyewitness accounts suggest that Rajneesh, in a fit of rage, removed his clothes, prompting Gayatri to push him down and bite him, resulting in significant injuries.

Rajneesh's cries for help alerted his father, Ramswaroop, and a neighbor, who rushed to assist him. They transported him to a community health center, where medical staff assessed the extent of his injuries. Due to the severity of the wounds, he was subsequently referred to Hallet Hospital in Kanpur, where he underwent treatment and received 55 stitches.

In the aftermath of the incident, Rajneesh's wife, Suman, filed a formal complaint against Gayatri and her husband at the local police station. Gayatri's husband, Pushparaj, who is Rajneesh's elder brother and works in Ahmedabad, is expected to return home upon learning of the incident. The police are currently investigating the matter, with Senior Officer Krishna Kant Yadav confirming that a complaint has been registered and further actions will depend on the investigation's findings.
