In a significant development, four men were arrested in Delhi following a viral video that allegedly depicts the assault of a protester. The police confirmed the apprehensions, stating that the video has gained widespread attention on social media platforms, with various political groups sharing it to highlight the incident.
The incident reportedly took place on DDU Marg, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Kamla Market police station. Despite the video’s circulation, the police noted that no formal complaints had been lodged by the alleged victim or any other individuals or organizations regarding the assault.
Authorities became concerned when they received information suggesting that the accused were planning to leave the Delhi-NCR area during the night to evade capture. In response to the viral nature of the video and the potential for the suspects to abscond, police took proactive measures to locate and detain the individuals involved.
The men have been identified as Raman Saini (50), Vivekanand alias Vivek (32), Kapil Kumar (27), and Ravinder Singh alias Govind Hindu (35). The police communication indicated that further necessary actions would be taken throughout the day as the investigation continues.
