CJP Leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka in Judicial Custody

Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, leaders of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), have been remanded to five days of judicial custody following their arrest on October 14, 2026. The two will serve their time at Tihar Jail after being detained by Delhi Police during an attempt to access Jantar Mantar, which had recently been denotified as a protest area.

The arrests followed a series of events, beginning with the police detaining Das, Ranka, and fellow party member Abhijeet Dipke at Indira Gandhi International Airport on October 10.
