Cab Driver's Call Leads to Arrest of Tiger Shroff Attack Suspects

A significant breakthrough in the investigation of the assassination attempt on Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff occurred due to a phone call made by a cab driver. The incident unfolded after three suspects allegedly fled Mumbai following the attack, which took place on Sunday evening as Shroff was leaving a football club in Juhu. The cab driver, who had transported the suspects, contacted the police using the booking number, which proved instrumental in tracing their whereabouts.

Upon receiving the call, investigators utilized technical surveillance to locate the cab driver. He revealed that he had dropped the suspects at the Surat railway station. This information prompted the police to analyze train schedules and reservation data, leading them to discover that the suspects were on the Pune-Jaipur Express heading towards Rajasthan.

In a coordinated effort, the Mumbai Crime Branch collaborated with the Rajasthan Police, resulting in a joint operation that successfully apprehended the suspects at Kota railway station. The three individuals are believed to have connections to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which is suspected of orchestrating the attack and providing the weaponry used.

The attack on Shroff was captured on video, showing gunfire directed at his vehicle. While the actor escaped with minor injuries, his driver was not as fortunate and sustained injuries during the incident. In light of this event, police have now assigned bodyguards to Shroff, who previously lacked any security detail, making him a vulnerable target for criminal elements.

Authorities are continuing their investigation to uncover the motives behind the attack, which may include intimidation and extortion linked to the gang's history. The police are expected to seek custody of the detained suspects to further probe their affiliations and the network that supported them during their escape.
