POCO Unveils X8 and X8 Power Smartphones in India

POCO has launched its latest smartphones, the POCO X8 and POCO X8 Power, in India, aiming to attract users seeking high performance and extended battery life without the flagship price tag. The devices boast a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display, enhanced durability with Corning Gorilla Victus 2, and are rated for water and dust resistance (IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K). Both smartphones run on Xiaomi's HyperOS 3, based on Android 16.
The POCO X8 is available for Rs 29,999, while the POCO X8 Power is priced at Rs 35,999. As part of the launch promotion, customers can benefit from a Rs 2,000 discount coupon and an additional Rs 1,000 bonus for bank or exchange offers, effectively lowering the prices to Rs 26,999 and Rs 32,999, respectively. The phones will be available for purchase starting September 11 at 12 PM exclusively on Flipkart, with options for up to 12 months of no-cost EMI.
In terms of specifications, the POCO X8 is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Conversely, the X8 Power introduces the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset, featuring LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage for enhanced performance. Both models support a high refresh rate of 120Hz and peak brightness of 3,500 nits, with the X8 Power also offering HDR10+ and Dolby Vision for superior media consumption.
Photography capabilities are robust, with the POCO X8 equipped with a 50MP OIS primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor, while the X8 Power enhances this with an additional 8MP ultrawide sensor and a 32MP front camera. Both devices support 4K video recording. Battery performance is a standout feature, with the X8 housing a 9,000mAh battery and the X8 Power featuring a massive 10,000mAh battery, both supporting rapid charging technologies.
Looking ahead, POCO has committed to providing four years of Android OS updates and six years of security patches, ensuring long-term software support for users.
