Following a third consecutive sub-200 score in the Test series, Pakistan's coach Sarfaraz Ahmed voiced his concerns regarding the team's batting struggles after the second day of the match against England at Lord's. The team was bowled out for just 110 in their first innings, adding to previous scores of 171 and 135 in Leeds, leading to an innings defeat.
Sarfaraz highlighted the importance of batters spending more time in the middle, stating that the initial 30-40 balls are crucial for building a solid foundation. He praised opener Azan Awais for his performance, noting that he faced 102 balls for 46 runs and handled pressure well against England's Jofra Archer. Despite acknowledging the challenges, Sarfaraz remains hopeful for a turnaround in the upcoming days of the Test match.
