The victims hailed from four villages: Ghughar, Nauraj, Baraj, and nearby areas. They were transported to Banda Civil Hospital after their health significantly declined, where medical personnel confirmed their deaths. Sagar Superintendent of Police, Anurag Sujania, reported that the consumption of suspected toxic liquor is believed to be the primary cause of these fatalities.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has responded to the incident, asserting that the government will take stringent measures and initiate a thorough inquiry. He emphasized the urgency of the situation by instructing relevant officials to visit the affected areas immediately. Yadav stated, "Our government will absolutely not tolerate such incidents," reinforcing the administration's commitment to accountability.
In response to the alarming situation, Collector Pratibha Pal visited the hospital to assess the circumstances. Medical teams have been deployed to monitor the health crisis closely. As the investigation unfolds, the local administration is on high alert, ensuring that all necessary precautions are taken to prevent further incidents.
