In a tragic incident at Gandhi Memorial Hospital in Rewa, two doctors were suspended following the deaths of Kalpana Mishra and her newborn during childbirth. The incident occurred on August 26, and a five-member committee has been established to investigate the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
Kalpana Mishra was admitted for delivery on the night of August 25, and shortly before her death, a video emerged showing her expressing fear for her life and pleading for help. Madhya Pradesh's health minister confirmed that the doctors on duty, Dr. Sonal Agarwal and Dr. Nidhi Pandey, have been suspended pending the investigation, which aims to ensure accountability and improve healthcare standards in the region.
