In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, Telangana's EAGLE Force has apprehended three individuals in Maharashtra for their involvement in an alleged synthetic drug manufacturing operation. This development is part of a larger investigation into an interstate network suspected of producing and distributing synthetic drugs across various regions, including Telangana and Maharashtra.

The investigation was initiated following a significant seizure of mephedrone and acetone on August 8, when local police intercepted a vehicle en route to Nagpur. This operation led to the arrest of three individuals and prompted the EAGLE Force to take over the case due to its broader implications. Subsequent inquiries revealed connections to manufacturing sites in Hyderabad and a clandestine unit located at a poultry farm in Maregaon, Maharashtra.

During a recent raid on the suspected drug manufacturing facility, investigators uncovered various chemical-processing equipment and raw materials, such as toluene, hydrochloric acid, and phosphorus oxychloride. These findings suggest that the site was actively used for the production of synthetic drugs, including mephedrone, alprazolam, and ephedrine. The arrested individuals have been identified as Saddam Hussain, Rakesh Verma, and Jairaj Shetty.

The EAGLE Force is now focusing on tracing the operations of this interstate drug network, which reportedly involves the supply of precursor chemicals from Gujarat. Investigators are also looking into the logistics and infrastructure that facilitated the drug manufacturing process, aiming to uncover additional individuals who may be implicated in this extensive operation.

As the investigation continues, EAGLE Force Director Sandeep Shandilya emphasized the importance of dismantling the network's operations across multiple locations. Authorities are committed to identifying all parties involved and preventing further drug trafficking activities in the region.
