In a shocking incident near Baramati Airport, Rana Dilip Suryawanshi, the owner of a shipping company, was assaulted by unidentified individuals on October 19. The attack occurred when two men on a scooter approached him under the pretense of presenting a bouquet of flowers, according to police reports.
Suryawanshi had visited the area for personal matters and was with his private bodyguard during the attack. The Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Chaitanya Kadam confirmed that the assailants launched a sudden assault on Suryawanshi. Following the incident, he was transported to Ruby Hall Clinic in Pune for medical attention, where he is currently under observation.
Mudit Saxena, the CEO of Ruby Hall Clinic, stated that the medical team is closely monitoring Suryawanshi's condition and will conduct a thorough evaluation to determine the necessary treatment. The police have not yet confirmed whether any shots were fired during the attack, and investigations are ongoing to gather more details.
SDPO Kadam mentioned that no evidence has been found so far regarding the alleged shooting, and police teams are actively working to identify and apprehend the suspects. The investigation is still in its early stages, and further updates are expected as the situation develops.
