On October 3, 2023, MS Dhoni, the former captain of the Indian cricket team, launched a new integrated diagnostics platform in Mumbai, marking a significant collaboration between Neuberg Diagnostics and NM Medical. This initiative aims to create a comprehensive network that combines advanced pathology, radiology, genomics, and preventive healthcare services across Maharashtra.
The newly formed entity will unify several brands under the Neuberg umbrella, including Neuberg NM Medical, Neuberg Dr Ajay Shah, Neuberg Sehgal, Neuberg OncoPath, and Neuberg Star. This network is designed to provide a wide range of diagnostic services, including routine and specialized pathology, advanced imaging, molecular diagnostics, and preventive wellness services, through a network of diagnostic centers, laboratories, and wellness facilities throughout the state.
Dr. G.S.K. Velu, the founder and chairman of Neuberg Diagnostics, emphasized the importance of this collaboration, stating, "By bringing NM Medical and our leading Maharashtra pathology brands together, we are creating a powerful platform where advanced radiology, pathology, genomics, and preventive wellness work together." Dr. Nilesh Shah, the chairman of NM Medical, will lead the joint entity, with a team of experts overseeing various specialties within the organization.
The integrated platform aims to enhance clinical capabilities by allowing healthcare professionals to combine imaging, pathology, and genomic data. This approach is expected to facilitate earlier detection of diseases, more accurate diagnoses, personalized treatment plans, and effective disease monitoring. Neuberg Diagnostics operates extensively across India and internationally, processing over 30 million tests annually from its network of more than 250 laboratories.
Looking ahead, the collaboration is set to expand its reach and services, with plans to enhance diagnostic capabilities and preventive care across Maharashtra. The initiative is expected to significantly impact the healthcare landscape, providing residents with access to advanced medical services and improving overall health outcomes in the region.
