Maharashtra Postal Circle Launches Monthly Grievance Forums
Starting November 6, the Maharashtra Postal Circle will host monthly sessions to address various grievances related to postal services.
First Monthly Adalat Diwas set for November 6 at 11:45 AM.
Four concurrent forums will address issues for staff, GDS, pensioners, and general postal services.
Grievances must be submitted by November 4 for consideration.
The Maharashtra Postal Circle is set to initiate its first Monthly Adalat Diwas on November 6, aimed at addressing grievances concerning postal services, employees, Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS), and pensioners. This initiative, introduced by the Department of Posts, will create a platform for individuals to voice their concerns and seek resolutions.
The Monthly Adalat will feature four distinct forums: Staff Adalat, GDS Adalat, Pension Adalat, and Dak Adalat, which will operate simultaneously at Circle, Regional, and Divisional levels as applicable. This approach is designed to streamline the grievance redressal process, making it more efficient and accessible for all stakeholders involved.
The inaugural session is scheduled for 11:45 AM on October 30 at the Office of the Chief Postmaster General, located on the second floor of the Mumbai GPO building. To ensure that grievances are addressed, individuals from Maharashtra and Goa are encouraged to submit their complaints to the relevant Group Officers by November 4, along with necessary documentation and prior references, if any.
This initiative is expected to enhance the accessibility and prompt resolution of complaints related to postal services and departmental personnel. By establishing these monthly forums, the Department of Posts aims to foster greater transparency and accountability, thereby improving the overall experience for customers, employees, and pensioners alike.
Looking ahead, the success of the first session will likely determine the structure and effectiveness of future forums. The Department of Posts is committed to refining its grievance redressal mechanisms, ensuring that the voices of all stakeholders are heard and addressed in a timely manner.
