In a significant development, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has expressed strong condemnation regarding the recent assassination attempt on Bollywood star Tiger Shroff. During a press conference held on October 19, 2026, in Nagpur, Fadnavis emphasized that the Mumbai Police are treating this incident with utmost seriousness and have already identified specific individuals linked to the case based on investigative leads.
Fadnavis stated that the police are not only focused on apprehending those directly involved in the attack but are also committed to tracking down the masterminds who orchestrated the plot from outside Maharashtra or even from abroad. He reassured the public that arrests would be made soon, highlighting that some suspects operating within the state have already been detained.
The Chief Minister elaborated on the ongoing investigation, indicating that the authorities are working diligently to gather more evidence. He noted, "This is a very serious and condemnable matter. The Mumbai Police have obtained certain clues, based on which they are currently working, and specific individuals have already been identified. These people will be arrested very soon."
Fadnavis further explained that the perpetrators are believed to be operating from locations outside Maharashtra, and he assured that the state government would coordinate with law enforcement agencies in other states to track them down. Additionally, he mentioned that the Central Government's assistance would be sought for cases involving individuals operating internationally.
Looking ahead, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of a comprehensive approach to ensure that all individuals involved in this serious crime are brought to justice. He stated, "We will track down their masterminds who remain in hiding and issue orders from afar. It is crucial to note that none of these individuals operate from within Maharashtra; those who do operate from within the state have already been arrested."
