XSIO Industrial Parks has announced a substantial investment of ₹2,500 crore aimed at developing industrial parks across Maharashtra, with Nagpur designated as the central hub for its operations. This investment was revealed on Sunday, marking a significant step in the company's growth strategy in the state.
The existing infrastructure in Nagpur includes several industrial parks such as Park One, Park One North along the Samruddhi Expressway, Park Two located at Linga on NH-53/Amravati Road, and Park Three at Additional Butibori MIDC. Additionally, an in-city logistics park at Wardhaman Nagar is part of XSIO's portfolio, enhancing its operational capabilities in the region.
Ashish Agrawal, the managing director of XSIO Industrial Parks, emphasized that this new investment represents a pivotal chapter in the company's expansion within Maharashtra. He noted that the funds would not only bolster their presence in Nagpur but also extend to other strategic locations including Pune, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Khalapur, Palghar, and Mumbai. The initiative aims to support precision manufacturing, complex-process manufacturing, Build-to-Suit facilities, and modern warehousing solutions.
The anticipated investment is projected to generate approximately 3,000 direct and indirect job opportunities, contributing significantly to the local economy. Agrawal expressed gratitude towards Maharashtra's Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and the state government for their ongoing support, which he believes is crucial for fostering a conducive environment for industrial growth.
Looking ahead, XSIO's vision is to establish world-class industrial ecosystems that will empower both global and Indian companies to thrive in Maharashtra. As the company moves forward with its expansion plans, stakeholders are keenly observing the developments that will unfold in the coming months, particularly in the context of job creation and economic growth in the region.
