Vijayadashami Celebrations in Nagpur to Feature Israeli Consul and Former VP

On October 20, 2026, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) will host its annual Vijayadashami celebrations at Reshimbagh ground in Nagpur, featuring prominent guests including Israel's Consul General in Mumbai, Yaniv Revach, and former Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar. The event is set to commence at 7:40 am and is part of the concluding festivities marking the RSS's centenary year.

The Vijayadashami celebration holds a significant place in the RSS's history, as the organization was founded in Nagpur in 1925. This year’s event is particularly noteworthy as it symbolizes the culmination of a year-long commemoration of the RSS's 100 years of service and activities in India.

Sanjay Gupta, the Editor-in-Chief of Dainik Jagran, will serve as the chief guest for the occasion, while RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat is expected to deliver a keynote address to the attendees. The gathering will include RSS functionaries, invited dignitaries, and swayamsevaks, highlighting the organization's community and cultural significance.

Former Vice-President Dhankhar's participation is especially significant, as he stepped down from his role in July 2025. His presence at this high-profile event is anticipated to attract considerable media attention and public interest, given his recent political stature.

As the RSS prepares for this landmark celebration, the event is expected to reinforce the organization's influence and outreach within the community, showcasing its historical legacy and ongoing commitment to its principles. Attendees are looking forward to a day filled with cultural performances and speeches that reflect the RSS's vision for the future.
