In a significant breakthrough, Nagpur police, in collaboration with the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) and local authorities, apprehended three individuals connected to the murder of Shiva Sharma in Lucknow. The operation, which took place overnight, led to the arrest of the primary suspect, Shraddha Dubey, her sister Rashmi Dubey, and their driver, Danish, also known as Tanveer Ali, at a flat in Somalwada.

The operation was initiated following an alert from the Uttar Pradesh police regarding the suspects' arrival in Nagpur. Police tracked the suspects after examining CCTV footage from approximately 250 locations. The investigation revealed that Shraddha and Rashmi had traveled from Kanpur to Nagpur in a vehicle registered in Uttar Pradesh. The police located the vehicle near the Ganeshpeth Bus terminus, where the driver provided crucial information about the suspects' appearance and movements.

After confirming their route through CCTV footage, the police were able to trace the suspects' movements up to the Chinchbhuvan culvert. However, their exact location beyond that point was initially unclear. By Tuesday morning, teams from the UP STF and Lucknow police had arrived in Nagpur to assist in the operation. Despite Shraddha turning off her mobile phone, police managed to track her online activity through WhatsApp, which helped them narrow down the search to a specific area in Somalwada.

The investigation led the police to several housing societies, where a security guard at Prozone Palms identified the suspects. Upon raiding the flat, the occupants refused to open the door, prompting the police to forcibly enter after obtaining necessary permissions. Shraddha, during the arrest, claimed innocence, asserting that Shiva Sharma had died by suicide.

After the formalities of the arrest were completed, the suspects could not be presented in court the same day due to procedural delays. They were temporarily held at Hudkeshwar police station. The following morning, the Lucknow police brought the trio before a magistrate, who granted a 72-hour transit remand, allowing their transfer to Lucknow for further proceedings. The operation was overseen by senior police officials, including DCP Deepak Agrawal and ACP Vaibhav Jadhav, with a dedicated team of officers involved in the successful operation.
