The arrest followed a multi-agency operation involving the Lucknow Police, the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF), and Nagpur Police. Dubey, along with her sister Rashmi and their driver Danish, had been evading law enforcement after allegedly fleeing to Nepal and changing locations to avoid capture.
The case stems from the death of Shiva Sharma, who reportedly fell from the fourth floor of a building where Dubey resided. Following his death, Sharma's family accused Dubey and her sister of murder and blackmail, allegations that Dubey has vehemently denied. Investigators revealed that the trio had been on the run, moving through various locations in Uttar Pradesh before arriving in Nagpur, where they were ultimately apprehended.
