In a significant address on Friday, V Shanta Kumari, popularly known as Shantakka, raised alarms about the influence of what she termed 'Dimagi Naxals' on the younger generation during the Rashtra Sevika Samiti’s 90th Shastra Pujan and Vijayadashami Utsav in Nagpur. She alleged that these ideological groups are brainwashing Gen Z, provoking women, and promoting unconstitutional protests aimed at destabilizing India and undermining its cultural foundations.

Shantakka highlighted the dangers posed by these groups, noting that their influence is often subtle and insidious. She accused them of spreading misconceptions and harmful ideologies that misguide youth and foster discontent among women. Citing the protests at Jantar Mantar, she referenced Dr. B.R. Ambedkar's warnings about unconstitutional agitation, which he termed the 'grammar of anarchy.' According to her, the primary goal of these forces is to create instability within the nation.

During her speech, Shantakka also criticized the portrayal of Indian traditions as oppressive towards women, arguing that historical texts like Varahamihira’s Brihat Samhita illustrate the respect afforded to women in Indian civilization. She stressed that issues such as exploitation and violence against women should be addressed through positive social reforms rather than by inciting resentment and dissatisfaction.

Looking ahead, Shantakka outlined the Samiti's vision for the next decade as it approaches its centenary. She emphasized the importance of nurturing a generation that prioritizes national interests over personal agendas, aiming to cultivate a Gen Z that embodies the principle of 'Rashtra Sarvopari' (Nation First). The organization plans to engage young women in colleges through programs that resonate with their aspirations and contemporary outlook.

In addition to addressing ideological concerns, Shantakka reflected on the Samiti's social contributions since its establishment in 1936, including relief efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic and rehabilitation initiatives for widows of farmers who died by suicide in Yavatmal. She encouraged women to balance their professional ambitions with family responsibilities and social leadership, citing examples of women excelling in their careers while managing family commitments. Anuradha Prabhudesai, founder of the Lakshya Foundation, also spoke at the event, highlighting the bravery of women in the armed forces and sharing inspiring stories of sacrifice and resilience.
