In a troubling incident at Ramnagar Chowk in Nagpur, a dispute over a vehicle obstructing the road escalated into violence, resulting in serious injuries to a man identified as Rahul. The altercation occurred when Rahul, along with his wife and child, requested three youths to move their car parked in the middle of the road. The situation quickly deteriorated when the youths reacted aggressively, leading to an attack with an iron rod.
The incident unfolded as 26-year-old Shivani Kanoujiya was returning home from Telangkhedi Temple with her husband Rahul and their young child. Upon reaching Ramnagar Chowk, they encountered the parked vehicle and honked, prompting Rahul to ask the occupants to clear the way. This request was met with hostility, and the argument intensified, culminating in the assault on Rahul, who suffered significant head injuries.
Following the attack, the Ambazari police were alerted, and Rahul was promptly taken to the hospital for medical treatment. Authorities have since arrested two individuals, identified as Prince Bhanu and Pushkar Sharma, both of whom were reportedly under the influence of alcohol during the incident. The third suspect involved in the attack is currently evading capture, and police are actively pursuing leads to apprehend him.
The violent episode has sparked alarm among local residents, who express concerns over the behavior of intoxicated youths in the area, particularly regarding disturbances and traffic issues at Ramnagar Chowk. Additionally, there are allegations of illegal hookah parlors operating nearby, raising questions about the effectiveness of law enforcement in addressing these problems.
